Door County Breweries
1. Door County Brewing Co.
Okay, this is the one.
When we combine Door County Brewing Co with its sister brewery Hacienda Beer Co in Milwaukee, they are definitely our favorite brewing organization in the country.
Just check out this awesome website and you’ll be hooked before you even get there.

From the head brewer to the general manager, the brewery is a family run company and they do things right.
The family and brewery are based out of Bailey’s Harbor in Door County.

The Taproom
With a huge selection of beers, the Door County Brewing Co Taproom doesn’t disappoint.
They’re passionate about Belgian, French and American style beers.
The people are nice, the atmosphere is everything you need, and again the beer is fantastic.

The Music Hall
And it gets better.
Stick around long enough for the lights to dim and the band comes out.
Their taproom seamlessly turns into a quality music hall.
With a few beers in your system and the groove of some funky music, you’ll be dancing in no time.

Best Brewery Option for Beer Fanatics
Door County Brewing Co. Taproom and Music Hall is the perfect option for those real microbrew fans looking for a solid drink and a great vibe.
2. Starboard Brewing Company
Our next Door County brewery is Starboard Brewing Company in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
This is a nano-brewery which means they make small batches of beer. That means you may not be able to have the same beer next time.
While their batches may be small, their taste isn’t. These beers are amazing.
The atmosphere is a nice family-friendly setting complete with board games and bumper pool.
If you need a bite, this Door County brewery also serves up cheese plates like a good Wisconsin brewery should. Oh, and they have smoked salmon to go with that cheese as well.

Best Brewery Option for Game Night
Ready for a unique beer, solid snack, and some friendly competition? The third option on our Door County brewery, Starboard, will provide all three with a great atmosphere.
3. One Barrel Brewing Company
One of the newest members on this list of Door County breweries is One Barrel Brewing Company.
The Madison, Wisconsin based brewery opened its new location in Egg Harbor in 2019 and hasn’t looked back.
The best part is that they partnered with our favorite Door County pizza place. You’ll find local based Wild Tomato’s newest location inside One Barrel Brewing.
Seriously, the pizza alone is worth the visit.
Their brand-spankin-new taproom is a classy place to grab a drink but you also have the choice to sip your beer outside at the multi-tiered beer garden.

Best Brewery Option for Lunch or Dinner
This brewery is great for those looking to grab lunch or dinner. One Barrel and Wild Tomato offer that perfect beer-pizza combination.
4. Shipwrecked Brew Pub
Shipwrecked Brew Pub is a classic Door County brewery that recently got a facelift after an unfortunate fire.
Their new atmosphere is clean, fresh and we love it! The space is large and open with nautical touches.
Shipwrecked is located in Egg Harbor, WI which is in our top places to stay in Door County. You can check out that full article by pressing the button below.
They serve nothing but handcrafted Door County beers from brewmaster Nate Denzin.

This brewery also has a great selection of food, appetizers, and a full bar. We had a giant sloppy plate of loaded fries that was perfectly washed down with a couple of beers.

Best Brewery Option for Families
That’s right, if you’re staying in Egg Harbor and need a good place to bring the family this is your stop. With plenty of seating, you won’t have to wait long. Plus, the food and drink menu has something for everyone.

5. Bridge Up Brewing Company
Next up on our list of Door County breweries is Bridge Up Brewing Company in Sturgeon Bay.
The name says it all with this one. When the bridge is up, so are your drinks!
This is another nano-brewery serving up small batches of quality beer.
As a “brewery for the people”, bridge up is keen to hear your suggestions. Who knows, maybe you’ll inspire one of brewmaster Trent Snyder’s next creations.
Bridge Up is located in the lower level of Sonny’s Italian Kitchen and Pizzeria. As such, this presents a good opportunity to enjoy a cold beer and a Chicago deep dish pizza all in the same place.
Find them on Google Maps: Bridge Up Brewing Co, Sturgeon Bay, WI
Best Brewery Option for a Water View
This super-small brewery is perfect for enjoying the Sturgeon Bay waterfront. After grabbing a drink, we recommend taking a stroll through Bayview Park next door and walking out onto the point for a great view of the bay.
6. Stabbur Beer Garden at Al Johnson’s
So we may be stretching it a bit by adding this one to the list.
But anyone looking for a Door County brewery is just trying to find a fun place to drink good beer. That’s just what Al Johnson’s Stabbur Beer Garden provides.
However, you’ll have to catch this one during the peak season summer months when Door County is at its most popular.
The venue is located just behind legendary Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant and Butik in Sister Bay, WI. If you haven’t heard of it, check out our full review by pressing the button below.
The ornate carvings in this authentic Norweigen structure is enough to make you throw on some lederhosen and toss down a stein.

Best for Beer Garden Seekers
If you’re looking for a beer garden, the Stabbur at Al Johnson’s is the perfect place. Summertime outside on a cool night at the Stabbur can’t be beat.
7. Island Orchard Cider
Okay, here’s another one that maybe shouldn’t quite make the Door County brewery list, but we couldn’t leave it out.
Island Orchard Cider at the Door County Cider house in Ellison Bay has a wide variety of hand-crafted hard ciders.
While the ingredients here include apples instead of grains, these drinks are definitely worth the stop!

Best for Gluten Free Drinks
That’s right, because hard cider is made with apples instead of grains such as barley or wheat, it’s a naturally gluten-free beverage. So bottoms up without the guilt for those who prefer to stay away from the gluten.
